noneother
I've hand-picked my own playlist from my library and attempted to replace the music in Fallout 3 with it. I got tired of the same old stuff, and plus I enjoy hearing my own stuff when I'm fighting or exploring. I did this by simply re-naming these songs to replace the ones in the /Data/Music folder. Now, I'm not sure why, but only half of them play properly. The game simply doesn't recognize the the rest. It isn't an issue of varying size, length, or bitrate, because FO3 plays them all. FOr some reason, it refuses to play certain songs. I'm not sure if it's some for of mp3 tag getting in the way, or maybe even a hidden copywrite or something. Any ideas? One big thing I noticed at that not a single song from a specific album played (I took about 5 tracks from one album). But there's no protection on them at all... I'm confoosed.. this worked just fine with Oblivion... :wallbash:

noneother
hmm... i don't know of any wav files that correspond to the background music tracks... although I did discover that it's only this one album that won't play... still can't figure out why...I'm gonna try blanking the files so they're simply mp3's, and nothing but. Maybe that'll do the trick...
noneother
Nice... I fixed it... seemed that some sort of mp3 tag was interfering with FO3. All good now. Used MeowMultiSound to convert them into new files. Works like a charm!
