How the.....?

I pinned down the problem to a faulty CD, but the problem is limited to the Construction Set. The game still works fine. Perhaps when I get another CD it won't be messed up anymore.

 

Edit: Alrighty, got ahold of another CD, and it works fine now. I was working on an interior cell for a private pad of mine, and I was wondering if it was possible to make an item function as a door, so that rather than place a door in the world I could just place an item on a bookshelf somewhere that would transport me to my new house when I clicked on it, and an item in my house that would function the same way. Anybody have an idea along those lines?

 

Yet another edit: Never mind. I discovered the answer with a few hours of playing around with the CS. Thanks anyway!
