Asterra
Yes, you read correctly. A mesh that is without a doubt somehow responsible for adding a pattern of shininess to certain parts of whatever texture I give it. After replacing femaleupperbody.nif, upperbodyfemale.dds, and upperbodyfemale_n.dds a million times, going into Photoshop to investigate every file's image and alpha, and even trying my hand at Blender, I am at my wit's end trying to effect a solution. See for yourself. Warning: Game nudity.http://www.filedropper.com/meshreflections2 The various elements being shown include: Exeter's original Type 3F body: http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/14359/?A BNB-enabled version of said body: http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/38524/? (Optional player bodies, Large Breasts)A "puffy" version of Type 3F: http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/45445//?In the interest of eliminating variables, I also tested "Busty and Bouncy" and "Type 6M". Two of the eight screenshots exhibit the reflection issue I am talking about. It encircles the nipples, shows up as an odd mark above the bellybutton, and also shows up scattered in other spots on the body, in a haphazard fashion which strongly suggests it was never intended. Compare the screenshots and you will plainly see that the only remaining variable to account for the phenomenon is the "Type 3F puffy w/ BNB" mesh. ("Puffy" is my description of the nipples, and how I differentiate the mesh from Exeter's original.) Now a couple of things need to be pointed out. In the "puffy" download section in the above link, you get the body in one download, and various armors in other downloads. The body download is not BNB-enabled. However, all the armors are. So how did I get BNB with "puffy", you ask? Because all three of the shoes provided replace the body mesh with a BNB-enabled version they have built-in (because the shoes are high-heels which alter the angle of the feet and therefore the entire body mesh) - and this BNB-enabled version is the one with the odd reflections. Speculation: My guess is that the BNB conversion for the shoes was done sloppily (and the main body was never converted at all). Since the main area affected is the one area where "puffy" differs from the original Type 3F, I would guess that the person doing the conversion didn't eliminate the BNB-source mesh before running the script (or something). The non-BNB version of everything can be found in the original FO3 post of the same content: http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/16043/? And while they obviously lack BNB, they also lack the weird reflections, high-heels included. I have tried my hand at BNB conversion. Really, I have. Using three different guides.. all of which eventually begin taking it for granted that the reader has a lot of previous experience with Blender. So pretty much.. what it looks like is I need four *proper* BNB conversions done. One each for the three shoes, and a fourth for the main body mesh (all to be found in the FO3 link). Feel free to PM me. I would definitely be on board for donating for the time.
