bongodoctor
I am learning to make a player house in creation kit and I have duplicated an existing interior then deleted all of the objects it contained. I have managed to put a house together and add doors, lighting and a load door and linked it to a door in Skyrim near Helgen. This all works fine - but when ever I go in the house there is an NPC called Fish Plaque standing in the corner on the same room (he can't move around because there is no navmesh yet). Freaked me out the first time I saw him as I wasn't expecting anyone or anything to be there. I have made sure the load door is one marked minimal use and unticked the box to make it a public place - but he is still there! This is driving me crackers - there are no markers etc placing him there and I can't find a Fish Plaque NPC listed in the Skyrim.esm - any suggestions? I am thinking it might inherited from the interior I duplicated - although I have changed the Editor ID and in game name of the interior. There doesn't seem to be any way to create an interior from scratch, unless I am being even dumber then usual...
Hanaisse
It sounds like you've duplicated the holding cell for the fish guy from the Fishing DLC. You absolutely can (and should) create interior cells from scratch. There's a forum called TES Alliance that explains the process in detail from start to finish via "Lessons". Start with Creation Kit Basics lesson #1 and work your way through each one. You don't have to actually participate in the forum, it's just a ton of very useful information for beginners. If you prefer to continue with what you have you can load your .esp into TES5Edit, find the Non-Player Character category and delete him from there. bongodoctor
Thanks for the swift reply - it was doing my head in! I will head over to the link you sent and see how to create an interior from scratch. Thanks once again! Looks great - trying to sign up but I have no idea what the TES in TESAlliance stands for  Text Editor Skyrim??? Ok worked it out - not obvious to me as I have only ever played Skyrim, none of the previous games... Just finished reading through all the lessons and trying some suggestions as I went - I have learnt a great deal already - lots of tips and hints I hadn't seen elsewhere. I think I am gonna start from scratch and build my player house from the foundations up again :) Edited July 3, 2022 by bongodoctor
