I am trying to create a new weapon just for fun, but i can't figure out how to add new enchantment effects to the list given in the weapon menu. Does anyone know how to create custom enchantments in the construction set? step-by-step instructions would be best as i am still new to using it.

Never Mind

If you want to make a default oblivion weapon into an enchanted version then..

1)Open Oblivion.esm

2)Once its ready, go to the weapons tab

3)Find the weapon you want, unenchanted weapons are those with the general name, such as "Iron Longsword"

4)Once you find the base weapon you want, RIGHT CLICK AND DUPLICATE IT. This will make sure that not ever other weapon of that type in the game is enchanted.

5)With the DUPLICATED weapon, give it a unique formID and a unique name, and adjust its other stats in the popup menu at your will.

6)See that Enchantment dialouge box? Remember it, we'll come back to that.

7)Go back to your tabs, and find Enchantments.

8)Right click anywhere in there, and select New.

9)A popup window will come up, You will need to name your enchantment. i usually do "AAA(whatever)" Where the whatever is what it is, sword, bow, boots...whatever.

10)You will now need to select wether your enchantment is for a weapon or for armor. this is important!

11)Weapon enchantments are weapon, armor/clothing enchantments are apparel.

12)Once you select enchantment type (in this case Weapon), you can now make your enchantment effects.

13)Right click in the blank space, select new effect.

14)Select your affects that you want, and edit their attributes as you see fit.

15) once you got your affects you want (you can have multiple!), hit OK

16) Go back to that sword you duplicated and adjusted yourself

17)Remember the enchantment box? Select your enchantment you made here.

18)Hit OK.

19)You may want to place this new weapon somewhere for you to find it, otherwise it will never show up!

20)To place your weapon somewhere is simple, select the cell you want, I usually use vilverin, the last room. You can find any cell you want under the cell view window.

21)Select the cell you want and wait for it to load, you know its loaded when you can see it in the renderview.

22)In the renderview, you can literally DRAG AND DROP your new sword into it, and the sword will appear where you dragged and dropped it.

23)Save! if you edited the oblivion.esm, you will need to save the .esp as a name.

24)Find the sword where ever you put it, and enjoy!

Or if thats too much for you....I can do it for you.. :whistling:

Ok, what are the controls for the render window, many times i tried to move the area around but accidentally shifted the area from its original position and in game things keep falling. are there easier navigation tools so that this won't happen?
