plot suggestions

I would like to work on a relatively simple mod, however I would like it to have some story behind it. Thus far, all I've got so far is a cave setting, and a reward (unique sawed off shotgun is all I have so far) This is my first mod, but that doesn't mean it has to suck completely. I am willing to add in more interesting elements if someone would point to an appropriate tutorial. Anyway, I couldn't find any existing requests that could work with that criteria, so I'm if you have any idea's that could help me make this a little more interesting, post them below.
