SS2 with severe script lag/script freezing issue, and it's causing the quests to be uncompletable.

I'm not sure how to explain it, but for some reason the scripts for SS2 when in a quest freeze and Jake isn't able to do certain sequences. He just stands there, doing nothing. The only fix I found was a patch job, I would need to enter and exit the interior cell or fast travel to the location to reset it, and that worked for the first few quests, but now even that isn't working. It got seriously bad when I tried to do the vault tec Comm Hub quest, where sometimes it wouldn't make him do the sequence and sometimes it did.

And then when I entered the point where we enter the basement, the problem occurred again only now the fix doesn't work and he just stands there. Meaning that the quest can't be completed.

 

Please, I just need to know how to fix it.

I think the issue is that you are trying to run SS2 with a number of very script heavy mods at the same time (Depravity, Fusion City, Valkyrie..etc).

I also had an issue where Jake wouldn't start his sequence of using the terminal during the Vault tec com hub quest. The solution I found was when you first enter the building allow the ferals to attack Jake for a few seconds before killing them.

Is there any way to reduce script lag while keeping those mods or is it just too much for the engine/game to handle?

It also mentions that there are circumstances when having the player just sort of stare at their own feet can help with script lag issues. However I don't know how big of an effect that this has or whether it would be enough for a specific load order.

ha, look at that load order, then ask yourself - why is my game choking?

seriously.

I like heavier load orders. I just bypass the needed restrictions and I can get mods.

 

BrandyBoy does it. Don't see why I shouldn't either.

 

If you're not going to be of any help, I'd recommend moving on. Plain and simple.

Ok, tried that but none of those suggestions don't work.

 

Side note, I recognized that the game doesn't detect that it is modded when it is. Could that have something to do with it?
