Mod issue (not sure if this is the right place to post this)

so i played stardew first on console years ago, then more recently on ipad and now ive got the pc version (mostly for the extra content)

 

Ive played it quite a lot and wanted to make things quicker so ive tried downloading the Smapi/ CJB mod thing.

 

ive got it to install etc but when i try an load my save file, the screen just stays black and i can still hear the music playing in the background.

 

Also ive noticed that when i tried launching the game with the mod active, the title screen was zoomed in more than normal.

 

does anyone have any ideas?

 

If this isnt the place for this question i apologise, im rubbish with forums.
