Site Bot Posted April 17, 2009 Share Posted April 17, 2009 Article link: weapon retexture with GECK guide how to retexture weapon with GECK (read ALL the guide and only then follow the instruction):firt thing choose the weapon you wanna retexture.now let's say you chosen laser rifle.in th GECK object filter click at "All" and then wirte in the filter: weaplaser and you'll see 2 options laser pistol and laser rifle. now double click on the laser rifle and go to art and sound tab and you'll see over there under "model" title just model and then .../LaserRifle.nif and beside it edit bottom click on edit and you'll see your gun in some random place in flat wasteland (which is ok). now you'll see a list of stuff with only subject and count (in the list it named: 3D name) and you'll see that the "new texture" is empty. double click the empty place and choose new texture for each part in the rifle.after you finish your texture stuff you click ok and LEAVE the weapon tab open OR click ok and click yes to create a new form (if you create a new form you first need to give it new name so in the up-left corner you'll see ID and now write over there "WeapMyNew" [or anything eles you wanna write] and in the name right MyNew [or any thing eles you wanna write {NOTICE thise is how your weapon name will be shown in the game}] and then click ok and then click yes to creat a new form).now go back to object filter and click "World objects" and in world objects branch click on "Static" nad in static branch click "Weapons" and in weapons branch click "2HandRifle" ok now in the list you need to double click the "1stPersonLaser" and click on edit bottom ann choose THE SAME TEXTURES AS THE 3rd model!!! after you finish creat a new ID (1stPersonMyNew or anything eles but for comfort make it like the first one name) and click ok.now in the first tab in the model title choose in the 1st person model your model and click ok and yes (form thing) and put it in where ever you want! =] :) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
