Better Veronica

All I'm asking for is a little mod that will make Veronica use maybe energy weapons or assault rifles.

Instead if this stupid fist and submashine guns.

It would make more sense for her to use energy weapons since she's from the Brotherhood.

there is an optional version there that give her the wattz laser pistol without changing her face.

If not quite a few of the veronica edits change her weapons (just search veronica on the nexus)

or you could just give her a weapon then use cheats to give her tonnes of ammo for it.

But she's still wont use laser and plasma rifles.Only pistols.

I wanted her to be more useful in the fight.

Ok 3 options

What you need is a weapon with a dps higher than her default one. Her 10mm is 60.5dps while I think the laser pistol I gave her is over 100 so you might want to disable my mod. A fully repaired laser rifle is 67.8dps so it should work while a plasma rifle is around 44dps so won't work. Any fully automatic weapon should have dps way over 60 aswell.

Another option is to remove her "magical companion ammo" by selecting veronica and using the "removeitem 00176e54 999" command in the console. People who have done this before report that the ammo for her weapon sometime reappears later so you may need to remove it again.

Final option is to edit her default weapon to do very little damage and fire really slowly in GECK so it's dps will be very low and she'll equip anything you give her.

To prevent the gun from reappearing in her inventory, there's a companions script that you can remove that checks to see if that gun is in her inventory and adds that gun if it is not. Delete that script in GECK and the weapon won't ever show up in her inventory again.
