Balkhan1
EDIT: I fixed my problem with Sexy Walks. What I need to know is - when should I use the BSA tools? How do I know if a mod replaces stock game textures? Here's my load list: Oblivion.esmUnofficial Oblivion Patch.espUnofficial Shivering Isles Patch.espDLCShiveringIsles.espChaseCameraMod.espamuletofthecheater.espIDKRRR_C_race.espCorean_hair_for_Original_race.espIDKRRR_C_race_closed_mouth_version.espChocolate Elves.espSW01Plus.esp My problem is the Chocolate Elf' skin is all blotchy and patchy looking, like the textures aren't installed right. I installed omod files using OBMM.Is it load order? Thx
AzirAphale001
To fix the problem with the patchy skin just put the age slider all the way up, and then all the way down. As far as I can tell none of those mods replace any textures.
Balkhan1
I don't see how you get multiple mods to work. I've only got 5 mods running plus the patches. They were all OMOD files installed with OBMM, very simple installs, yet I have problems in game. The Chocolate Elves mod gave me a couple of error messages I think because it requires Corean race 1.8, so I installed that and it seemed OK. But in game I occasionally get my characters hair disappearing for a second. Also when I open my interface it shows my Chocolate elf is a Corean with the Corean powers. When I made the character I specifically chose Chocolate Elf, then chose the particular Corean hair style. You can really see the boundary between the HGEC chocolate elf body and the Corean head. The HGEC body is in game, but my characters skin is still a little patchy (I raised and lowered the age slider per Azer's recommendation and it helped). I installed FEC first, then HGEC. I installed the Dropped Lit Torches mod, and in game it never worked - the torches ALWAYS went out when dropped, they never stayed lit. Again, it was a very simple easy install with no error messages. But it never worked in game, so I just removed it. Is it load order? I've read some stuff on ordering the mods, but they all say things like "Yes, get this tool to order your mods, it's really great!" but no one explains how to see what order they are in to begin with. load order: Oblivion.esmUnofficial Oblivion Patch.espDLCShiveringIsles.espUnofficial Shivering Isles Patch.espChaseCameraMod.espamuletofthecheater.espIDKRRR_C_race.espCorean_hair_for_Original_race.espIDKRRR_C_race_closed_mouth_version.espChocolate Elves.espSW01Plus.esp help..... EDIT: I also have the Darnified BTmod interface installed, although it doesn't show up in any mod list I have????I couldn't get Sexy Walks to work at first, but I was checking it in the prison cell at the start of the game with a "Chocolate elf/Corean head" hybrid character (yuk!). It NEVER worked till I played throught the game and exited the dungeon, then it started working (there was nothing in the mod documentation that said it would act like that, so I assume it's another problem with my install. Again, a very simple mod and install but it caused me several HOURS of messing with it before I saw that it worked outside the dungeon.????!!!??? EDIT: Sexy Walks does not work when using a Chocolate elf character unless I play through the game and exit the dungeon AND save, exit the game, and reload the save. Only then will it work. Anybody explain that? Another problem: I'm trying to add the HGEC body seam reducer, and the readme says if you want to use the corean race, copy the headhuman.egt file to the "meshes\characters\<RACENAME>" folder and rename it to match whatever head___.nif file is there. The problem is I have FOUR .NIF FILES THERE.......The readme also says, to use the custom textures included, navigate to "data\textures\characters\" and make backup copies of the "imperial" and "darkelf" folders. THERE ARE NO IMPERIAL AND DARKELF FOLDERS THERE!!!What to do?I went ahead and added the files like the readme says, then copied the headhuman.egt file and copied it to ALL FOUR corean_head#.nif files; reloaded the saved character, got the usual error message when you change mods for a saved character, and the mod does not work, the neck seam is still there. So I started a completely new character, and the neck seam is STILL THERE - MOD DOES NOT WORK. Oh well, I'll stop now, I could go on and on. EVERY mod I've tried to install has given problems, and the readme files are filled with inconsistencies and omissions. Either to readme files have to tell me exactly what to do or I have to give up on trying to add these mods.........
