As the title states, Skyrim is stuck in window mode and refuses to go full screen. I haven't played in a few months, and decided to jump back in. Last time I played, everything was normal. I've made no changes in the time sence then. Still have not updated to Anniversary Edition, if that matters. Everything in game seams to work fine. Every other game plays normally, just Skyrim doing this window mode thing. I don't get it. Anybody have any ideas?

Fwiw, in SkyrimPrefs.ini

bBorderless=1
bFull Screen=1

That did it! Thank you!

But this has left me really confused. I am positive that I did NOT change that. I've never even opened that file. I play on max settings, and none of my mods would do something like this. So how the hell did it change?

idk. some mod install that changes ini settings (one you performed back when and forgot about), accidental edit you forgot about during your time away (my guess)... but tbh, no idea

I am having the same problem, and it is NOT the ini files. SkyrimPrefs reads : bBoarderless=0, bFull Screen=1 , and the iSize H and iSize W both have the correct screen size in them.

I have not installed the AE update and have no plans to do so.

This problem just suddenly started when I attempted to start a new game. No idea what is going on or how to fix it.

Personally, I think it is a ploy initiated by either Steam or Bethesda to force people to upgrade to AE.
