How do I change the screen ratio?

The size of my previous computer's screen was 1024 x 768 (a ratio of 1.3333 to 1, like every other screen option available when you select "options") but my new computer's screen is 1920 x 1080 ( a ratio of 1.7777 to 1). This makes Morrowind look stretched sideways!

Is there anything I can do, or any software I can download, to make Morrowind look normal again, back in the right proportions?

Thnks in advance for your help.

I think Resolution CHanger is what you are looking for.

Thanks, I've bookmarked that. Do you know if it will work with the Morrowind Overhaul mod set? I just purchased a 1440p monitor, and while all the rest of my games have no problem upscaling from 1080p, I never had better than 1600x1050 or so from Morrowind. I'd love to play it at the full QHD resolution.

EDIT: Also, do I need to place that Morr. Resolution Changer .exe file in the same file as the game's .exe file is located? I guess I can just do it and see, but I'd hate to mess up my game, which I'm still playing.

Okay, it doesn't work. I think the others with problems are correct, and it won't work with 64bit OS. Thanks anyway, unless anyone happens to know of another remedy. I'll post a separate post for that question.

I might try the FPS Optimizer, but I already have the Morrowind Overhaul installed, and I'm pretty sure that MGE is included in that mod collection. I'll check to see if it's the same program. Thank you for the links!
