Scarborough elves
I have been chatting with some friends on messenger and they have a similar problem to me on one of my own games that I never bothered to fix as it was my testing game, Black eyes on all the NPC`s. Except vampires for some reason. I dont have the trouble on another game but it appears to be a body mod problem, not sure, but I guess this is the best place to ask so I can pass on the diagnosis and fix mine aswell. Is this a common problem? Does anyone know whats going on? I dont particularly want to point fingers at specific mods becuase its probably user error, but exnems with an eyecandy overhaul and roberts male are the three common denominators. Can anyone help? Thank you in advance. :thanks:
CrimsonKing1990
It would be helpful to see a list of your mods. Your body mods might be the problem. Try disabling them until you're only using 1 of the body mods.
dezdimona
body mods to not alrer the head nifs thats why there called body mods! Too many cosmetic mods or a custom race mod are the usual culprits in a case of black eyes or google eyes

SpacemanSpIiff
 Oh wow. Im sorry....Uh... deactivate that mod, and see if things go back to the previous state of slightly less broken... If you can get to that point then I would try a reinstall of the game. The only other thing i can think of is that there was a problem with your archive invalidation...for the longest time whenever i tried to do an archive invalidation it would actually make my textures and meshes go missing....i found that the method i was using isnt right, i was using BSA invalidation...you should be using BSA alteration...atleast thats the one that worked no problems for this one. In your OBMM, go to utilities -> archive invalidation. Tic BSA alteration, and make sure only textures are checked. then make sure that generate archiveinvalidation entires on hash is also checked. Click update now, and your done. Run oblivion, try that.
