Someone very experienced in the field that knows how to also make duplicates of exterior cells (oblivion cells). The work we will require will not be large and can easily be done by someone experienced in this field within a maybe an hour if their quick. Project Oblivion.... While we will not make the site public until we have someone do this to make a master file to add the work we have done, i will share with the public a small, copy and paste, from our forums about the main quest. This was just a very summarized version of the main quest that i wrote to ask the members their suggestions and to lay it out so i may edit it as things come up. We ARE looking for new members, but we are only going to take their applications when the site is live, and the only way this will be made public is if we get a heightmap expert. For more details about the work we urgently need please feel free to PM me. The person who is willing to work will get a link to the website where the assignment is read in full. If you wish to become a Team Member and you do this assignment for us, we will skip the application part and just take you. Here is the short copy and paste from a small thread i made about the main quest which will explain the main concept of this realm. This is an unfinished, unedited, going to change as time goes by concept. "Here is what im planning in short terms. There is a daedric prince that has found a way to make his realm completely stable and have a connection to the real world that can not be destroyed or the link severed. But the process to do this requires one of his daedra to perform the operation and live through it so that they may guide the power to secure the link to the real world. His problem stems all from this. Doing so will kill any daedra, even himself, as the power will consume anyone who has spent a lot of time inside oblivion. Being in an oblivion realm makes the body get used to the magical particles inside the realm. Humans or other non daedra can do this process as their bodies are not used to the magical particles of oblivion and thus have a higher resistance to the new type of magic, but humans, in their instintive greed, will undoubtible use the power to destroy the daedric prince or disobey him and take the realm for themselves. He needs stronger daedra, and one of his alchemists have stumbled upon a potion that makes them strong enough and resistant enough to withstand this process. The potion itself is highly unstable and kills at least half the daedra who attempt to drink it. Those who survive become immeasurably stronger but the potion takes a month to complete the transformation. While this month goes by he needs his realm to be linked to the real world to allow some of the magical particles to come into contact with the real world and allow their daedra to spend time outside the oblivion realm to detoxify (for lack of a better term) their bodies from the realm before they can complete the process. You catch wind of the daedra invasion on a small settlement, and find that they have taken over this settlement in order to have a base where they may allow their bodies to detoxify. The potion has little effect on their bodies while in the real world, so they are not as strong. But when you enter the realm you see that there are very few daedra comparitively in the realm guarding it than normal, but by far that does not lessen its difficulty to survive the battle. You find a small group of 2 imperial legionaires next to 4 imperial bodies. They accompant you. You make your way up the tower, killing daedra who are far more powerful than any other foe you have faced. You see a room strewn with daedric corpses and an alchemy lab with a daedric scientist and a newly strengthened daedra. After putting them both down you and your team (if they lived) go to the top where scene cuts and you cant move. You see the daedra in a line of 3, one by one attempting to touch the sigil stone but being destroyed in the process. They see you and the remaining 2 come at you and try to kill you. They fail. After that a barrier blocks your path to the sigil stone and an avatar of a daedric prince comes forth from a red bloody fog, tells you that your attempt was pitiful and that you will never stop his plans. He tries to kill you, after beating him the barrier lifts from the sigil stone and you take it. The realm closes, and you are put outside the gate. After this 5 daedra come charging forth from the settlement as another cutscene happens and you cant move. They stop in their tracks and quickly look around as one by one their swiftly fall to the floor by a barrage of arrows. 7 Imperial guards come over and tell you they heard a ruccus from the gate closing on a patrol and quickly came to see what was going on. The 2 imperials with you (if both lived, one of them will be essential so he will always live) will come close to you as the leader tells you he heard them talking after torturing a daedra and found out that the sigil stone is different from all other types. It was called by daedra a [some long word in the daedric language, lets just for short say realm stone]. And that the guard knows someone who studied realm stones even though they were only a myth. You go to see this guy who has set up shop just outside the Arcane University, he tells you that aquiring certain things from alyeid ruins [a specific ruin] and a fort [a specific fort] and 5 filled grand soulgems and 1 filled black soul gem will allow you to unlock its power to shape your own realm of oblivion to your personality. After aquiring the objects he performs a ritual, but warns you that it may take your life so he will not do it himself because of the risk. You put the sigil stone on an alter and then it rises and glows deeply. You see the souls from the stones you put on other small pillars surrounding the altar (this will all be activators and animations) in a blue mist come right out of the stones and into the sigil stone. The soulgems vanish, the stone glows even brighter. The cutscene ends you you must touch the stone, upon doing so you get shocked once a big shock spell damage (that is where the artifacts from the alyeid ruins and fort come in handy, one of them is to perform the ritual, one of them protects you from shock) If you live (which you should) you touch the stone again and it gets added to your inventory anew. You gain a power to summon an oblivion gate as he explains how after talking about how long he researched this and how amazed he got to see it happen. You cast the spell, a gate comes out of the ground and right in front of you. You enter it, and there is your very own realm of oblivion. After sleeping (does not matter how long, will be scripted like darkbrotherhood so ANYTIME you sleep it will happen and anywhere you sleep too) you see that people have made a settlement in your realm and there is a city like place there with merchants and citizens of daedra and humans (orcs, argonians etc). They say they heard of your deeds and decided to set up shop with permission from daedric guards and promises of peace for an adventure and a new market. You now control the realm, the city, they understand that your word is law and they can be killed at any time. Although they all respawn so your never without your lovely merchants. This is the basic main quest. There will be more quests, side quests at least, and maybe another side quest / main quest kinda thing after you get your realm. This is the part where I ask anyone... Thoughts? Suggestions? Different ideas? changing certain things? Whatever. tell me what you think! ~Ranokoa " Thats the sniplit. Although generally i wanted to keep suggestiont to team members, i am interested in ideas on what to change, add, subtract from this general idea. I know this is not very well written, it was not intended to be. I wrote it at 3 am just to get it down before i forget any kind of detail. Tell me what you think, and please PM me if you are interested in working with the heightmap. If you want to be a member, please just wait another day or two and pay attention to the forums for a post about us accepting members. There are two programs, associate, and members. What I really wanted to say is: I only use the height map editor once - to create my testrealm, there's nothing complicated about it. As far as duplicating cells goes I hear you can do it with tes4gecko although my memory seems to be slightly hazy about that. Try looking at gecko documentation. Another way could be making a certain worldspace the parent space of your new worldspace. Not sure how that would work though. Not sure at all. These are just wild guesses and I can't help you in any other way, but I was hoping that by giving you at least a little reply, with the little info I know - I could... sort of help you - lift your spirits so to say. Because the fact is that despite it might seem that noone has interest in your mod or efforts - this is not true. The people that frequent this forum merely don't know the answers, I've learned so myself on several occasions. Good luck with your mod, I know that you're going to need it. I, myself, and the only other team members at this time, do not have the time to do this unfortunetly. Although it should be fast, we are too busy with other things. It is actually kind of amazing to me how much work we have accomplished without the base mod, but we are running out of time to not have those realms. At the very least, we need them copied, specific ones, that we will change and edit. The only reason we want to copy them is so we can easily work from there as it is much faster than starting from scratch. Honestly, if someone knows how to make a duplicate cell of an entire oblivion realm, this is all we really need. If anyone can help us with this, please tell me. Again, we are too busy, the ones of us that are here, to do this as we are making the key components to the mod, such as the gate As for the NPC's and stuff, we will either do something like everything be initially disabled, and then enabled by script after you sleep with a message box, or we will have a one way door kind of hidden underground that leads up to the surface where they will be told by script on picking up a package where to go and stuff. But we will most likely use the initially disabled way. They dont literally walk through your gate to get here, the story just says that to add realism. It would be a lot more realistic than "After a nights sleep you find that people have magickally materialized out of nothing with their objects and houses that they may sell and offer as a city." ~Ranokoa Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Which oblivion cells are you trying to copy, or are you just trying to make it look Oblivion like? How large of a worldspace are we talking, can you provide a map, a drawing, or a scanned doodle on a used napkin which might give some idea of how much work you are looking for? The information from interested people will be given VIA a link to the site, i don't want a big give away until we are fully sure of exactly everything we are going to do. And, since im too lazy to read the whole thing right now, if i didnt say this i will say it now. "The cells needed to be duplicated will be told to the individual interested, all that is required are that these specific cells given are duplicated and given an ID. Thats it. If you wish to go far and beyond, more specifications will be given, although all in all it is a light load. Specifications will fit somewhere along the lines of "Delete all creatures inside realm, ensure no doors lead anywhere (normally they done i know but i one time got a glitch kinda where a duplicated cell somehow still had a teleportation destination and it was very screwy) and ensure that there are no quest related material left in the duplicate, and the only scripting left will be that of activators.)" Ranokoa Posted April 21, 2009 Author Share Posted April 21, 2009 Thanks =) Wanted to get the base ESM done before we began on advertising its happening, but since we don't have time / knowledge of how to get the land for the ESM we don't gots a choice. Again, if anyone has any knowledge on copying an oblivion realm, exteriors only (do not connect to duplicate interiors) please PM. All we NEED is the duplicate realms. Only 2 of em, very specific ones. PM me for more details about the work. And, if you wanted to join Project Oblivion, and you do this for us, we will skip through the application process and just let you join. Consider this your application if you wanted to join.
