TimeDawg
So I downloaded OOO (Oblivion Overhaul) and started a new game. Right from the start, things weren't looking so hot. For one, some guards have...no body. They're floating heads along with their weapons. Another thing is the giant (!) symbols that are scattered randomly across the landscape. I have no idea what's going on. HALP!
ihateregisteringeverywhere
Did you perhaps say "No" when your system asked if you want to overwrite files when you were unpacking/copying the mod? Or are you perhaps a proud owner of the Vista operating system and have Oblivion installed in the "Program Files" directory?

ihateregisteringeverywhere
Reinstall somewhere else. C:\Games\ is a fine example. There are other workarounds, they might even sound good compared to reinstalling somewhere else, but trust me, you'd spend more time settings those up than reinstalling. TimeDawg
Just for clarity's sake, I didn't just get Oblivion. I've been fooling around with mods and such...I'm sure I just installed this like an idiot. All I did was drop the Full esp into the data folder...is that bad? ihateregisteringeverywhere
I don't remember, I didn't install OOO for ages now, but didn't it come with textures and meshes? You see, it's only logical that the game will show you no textures and/or meshes if there are none (meaning if you copied none into the data directory). Also, isn't there an OOO omod? That would solve the problem with installing it in a jiffy.

ihateregisteringeverywhere
Hm, I don't know where you've got your OOO from, but... An excerpt from the readme: "Download either the Complete or Upgrade version. Both include OMOD conversion data with an install script that guides you through the install process and option choices. This is the recommended install method, but there's also a standalone installer EXE available if you don't use OBMM." http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=15256
