zaxrider
Felt like playing some Morrowind so I reinstalled the game and applied MGSO. I kept all the settings at default values, went with Fast PC preset (although capable of Very Fast). Applied on a clean install of GOTY non-steam version. Now when I start the game the fullscreen goes black for a second and then it disappears all together, leaving a non-responding Launcher and non responding Morrowind.exe in processes, taking up 116 K, not showing on taskbar like another windows would. Any ideas what might be causing this?
7vincent7black7
One issue if you are using steam which I know causes black screen when creating a new game at least, is that you need to open your steam program full window with the tabs libraries, community, etc. Step 2. Click on Library and look for TES III: Morrowind. Step 3. Right click that game and click on the option "Properties". Step 4. You will be in your General tab in this new dialogue box. Uncheck the box next to the words "Enable Steam Community In-Game". What this does is disables the steam overlay for this game only, which when used with MGSO can cause a black screen itself. This may not be your issue specifically, but it will be one that you might run into if you have the steam version after you get this problem fixed, and that's assuming this doesn't resolve your current issue. :)
zaxrider
Thing is, I'm not using Steam version of the game. I even exited Steam and everything that tries to overlay stuff (i.e. Raptr). No use. Tried running as admin, in compatibility mode, changed MGE XE into Rev 186, tried to "disable internal MWSE", didn't help either. Running out of options now... 7vincent7black7
I'm afraid that is out of my level of expertise otherwise I would provide some other advice, but I just installed it myself and I'm having my own kind of wierd going on myself. :) The MGE and all that is beyond my understanding of how all that stuff works nad what it does, so I couldn't even come up with ideas about what could be causing that, sorry. zaxrider
Works now. I re-downloaded MGSO, re-installed the game into a different directory, kept all settings the same and now it works. No idea what was wrong back then but well.
