skingrad24
How can I make a mesh that doesn't crash the game if I use it as precipitation model for a weather (raindrops for example)
Interfer0
you don't. having that many models with each raindrop being one mesh will crash your game. You would want to use a particle instead, but I don't think nifskope currently can handle them. A particle is like a point with a 2D image over it. no matter what way you turn, it will always look the same. I know very little about it though, just from playing in second life long ago. Thank you for answering, I'm going to see how to work with particles
neunen
i could be wrong, but the last time i checked there was no way to import/export custom particles in with the nifscripts as of yet. so you would have to work with the ones already ingame and modify them to your needs, if possible. sorry to be a bad news bear :(
Interfer0
maybe you can look at a waterfall, and see if they have particle scripts on the spray, I can't remember if they do, or even if there is actually a waterfall in the game.
skingrad24
I haven't found waterfall meshes, but in the original game there are other particles, I'm now looking at them to see how they work
skingrad24
Also particles crash the game if used as preipitation
genovauk
they took alot of functions out of the engine from oblivion to fallout, maybe the rain part of oblivion just doesn't exist whatsoever in fallout, Thus making this quite a difficult task to achieve. I would imagine fose would be required if the commands and functions exist or will exist exist in the future. All that seems to be there already weather wise are the swirls of dust and snow in the anchorage dlc to simulate some kind of wind effect.
