NMM is still malfunctioning when ran in Wine, even the latest version refuses to start, it starts detecting games (Wine 1.7) and once done, it crashes. Even WineHQ rates it as garbage (means it doesn't work). I tried with Wine versions ranging from 1.4 to 1.7 on several distros (Debian squeeze/wheezy/testing/sid, Arch, Ubuntu 12.04/12.10/13.04/13.10, Fedora 17/18/19, CentOS 6.1/6.2/6.3/6.4, Slackware 14.0, I was ditro-hopping for a while) and got nowhere.

Unfortunately, that's about as far as people have been able to get with it, detects games and crashes, I'm yet so see one person to run a working NMM in Wine. Different mod managers do work however, like FOMM 12.5 with dotnet20 (also works with mono-runtime package but GUI craps out a bit), so you can look for an alternative.
