Werne
if your budget is $200 why are you looking at 7750s? those are not good cardsBecause the 270X and 7950 are dual-slot cards and he needs a single-slot low-profile card whose cooler doesn't exceed the height of the front metal cover, otherwise the card won't be able to fit into the case due to having a miniature slimline case with a micro-ATX or mini-ITX mobo and about 220-250W PSU. In that regard, 7750 is the best performing card he can get. Please do some research and actually read the thread prior to posting. And why exactly is "low profile" so hard to understand? Back in the thread Thor posted a link of, everyone forgot that little detail until I described the difference between cards a few times and then posted pictures of the case showing that nothing other than a low profile will fit. Low profile is not "just a single-slot card", it's a card with a low-profile cooler which is slim compared to standard GPU coolers. Examples: Low-profile:http://content.hwigroup.net/images/products/xl/159582/sapphire_radeon_hd_7750_lp_1gb.jpgStandard-size single-slot:http://www.zapsonline.com/58464-46887-thickbox/gigabyte-amd-radeon-hd7750-1024mb-gddr5-128-bit-memory-graphics-card.jpgDual-slot:http://www.bjorn3d.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/XFX_R7750_8.jpgHow can anyone mix them up? @888mikem888 PSU power rating, RAM frequency, motherboard model and some pics of the case's insides would help. It's possible (though highly unlikely) that you can fit a bigger card inside. Another possibility is replacing the APU with a newer model (like A10 6600K, if the motherboard and PSU can take a 100W CPU, and if your RAM is fast enough) which performs about the same as 7750 and can be crossfired with one for greater performance. blove
That middle card is dual-slot even though it only has one card guide.
Werne
@blove Yes, but some people refer that type of cards as "single slot" due to it taking up only one slot (or as you said, guide, not being a native english speaker I don't know the exact term) on the back of the case, as opposed to card #3. I just posted those to show that the size of the last two differentiates from low-profile cards in a way that makes it impossible to insert into slimline cases with mobos that have their PCI-E slot on the bottom. The last two can't physically fit into such a small case, which is why cards like 7950 and R9 270X which maliktwo mentioned are not even being considered (since they are both as thick as #3). Rennn
I'd listen to Werne. He hasn't been wrong yet.
maliktwo
i would get a new case. you could get one for $30 and get the 7950. personally i would rather not have a case and use the 7950. my opinion
888mikem888
If its low profile, there was a thread mentioning the exact card in question, maybe this thread can help you. You never know you might have something in common, pc wise. http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/1165066-help-me-pick-the-right-card/ Ah I see, thank you for that. I have a similar computer to his, it's an Acer Aspire AX3475-EF328. Which is like his, but better. EDIT So I skimmed through there and it seems maybe the Sapphire may be best option. I'll think about it a little bit more. From what I can tell, the ones I posted are pretty much the same. I didn't see your last post lol, that's as good as your going to get with that acer, depending how much space you have, if its anything like Ironman5000 situation that may be the only choice you have. He had the benifit of having screenshots inside the case which helped allot. I see, yeah I may as well just go with that. His computer is pretty much the same shape as mine. I'm really regretting getting a mini tower instead of a regular computer :S Oh well, I'll just deal with it. Thanks so much for the help, I appreciate it :) Edited October 24, 2013 by 888mikem888
888mikem888
Oh oops, didn't notice there was a second page :S I'll upload some pictures in a minute. http://oi39.tinypic.com/xmtnyb.jpg The card:http://oi42.tinypic.com/awxisi.jpg This one was for some reason flipped horizontally and vertically: http://oi42.tinypic.com/w8kl8k.jpg I'm sorry for the crap quality images and them being so large. If I've missed something that you need to see I'll take another picture. Edited October 24, 2013 by 888mikem888
Werne
That PSU, what's the wattage? Your PC has a 65W AMD APU while Ironman's has a 95W Athlon, it could be that the PSU is weaker due to a less power-hungry CPU, which could result in problems once you insert a 55W card. By the way, why does your case stand in a weird way? It looks like it's upside down, confusing. Edited October 24, 2013 by Werne
888mikem888
Aaand just found out that my computer doesn't have the wattage to support a new video card (I only have 220 I think). Well thanks for the help anyway guys. Edited October 25, 2013 by 888mikem888
Thor.
Question, can that psu of yours be upgraded, if so why not just upgrade the psu to a higher wattage, so you can use that video card in question  . Judging the way the cables are laced through i see no reason why not??.
