ZeroOfSpades
Hey there, fellow modders. I have a question relating to an area I have little to no experience in: Modeling. I've done some work with the geck, but recently decided to try my first serious attempt at a mod. The idea is simple enough, a personal companion to give me some experience. My idea was a yao-guai companion, but that's boring on its own, so I decided to add a bit of silliness and backstory: he's a hard drinking, tobacco chewing, outlaw yao-guai. And here is where the problem comes in for me. I figure it would spice up the mod a little if I were to add a cowboy hat to the companion, yet I'm not exactly sure where to begin with modeling for New Vegas, nor the process for successfully altering the yao-guai model to add one of the pre-existing hat models from the base game. Any help here would be greatly appreciated, from what software(s) you would recommend to do this, to some guidelines or tutorials as to how to manage this part of the project without messing up any of the key files. ZeroOfSpades
Thanks for the links, they look pretty extensive so I'll have to check them over, but I'm sure I can find something useful there!
