Newbie - Audio Modding

Hey folks,

 

I'm new to the world of modding. I'm a sound designer and I wanted to try my hand at replacing some sounds that exist in games with my own. Are there any tutorials out there showing how this is done? Are there any tools that are helpful for this? I'm completely new to this whole thing so if there are good resources to check out please let me know.

 

Specifically, I wanted to mod the sounds in Yakuza 0. The city ambiences are driving me nuts (they sound like you're in a cafeteria or something).
