simon445
So sometimes I will load a game, and it is usually after I have played, shut it down, messed around on here than started playing again, and horizontal lines the same color as the interior of the building I am in will start running up and down my screen. I don't know what it is doing this, as I don't know much about computers at all. It just seems like something that would happen when a video card overheats, so I am coming here looking for knowledge any help much appreciated. Thank You Simon

Here's a utility Pc-Wizard that can help identify that issue. Another thing to try is clean out the inside of the computer, especially fans and heatsinks. Unplug the Computer First, then use a soft brush, a vacuum cleaner and a can of compressed air. You can also try leaving the side cover off and aiming a fan in there. The other thing that may be happening is loosing vertical synch. This can happen if playing a game at some resolution other than the resolution you have windows set to. simon445
Thanks for the quick response, also it only happens every now and again, it is not a constant. So I am just putting that out there. Simon Roth

Simon Roth My previous response still applies, especially about cleaning the inside of the computer. I clean or have cleaned all the computers I'm responsible for at least once per year. It's truly amazing how much dust gets inside them, and what a difference the cleaning bit makes! Qwaxalot
