Webejamen
When I go into Chorrol, the beams on all the houses are black. :wallbash: Trapdoors have black around the border, too. Please help!
BossDweebe
Need more information - what mods are you using ?These would probably be missing textures. Missing textures usually show up purple, but can manifest as black or invisible.
Webejamen
I'm using Better Cities. It started right after it. Could you find the texture and make a file for me to load it?
AzirAphale001
Sounds like you didn't install the textures right. Are they in the right folder? I don't use Better Cities so I don't know how it works.
BossDweebe
Open the textures folder of the BC mod in a window next to yourOblivion game textures folder and compare the two - (you may haveto extract the BC again to a location of your choice to do this). When you look at the texture files for BC you will discover just what theyare. Then you can look in the Oblivion game folders and see if you can find them. When you find them you can move them to the correct folder according to the file structureyou see in the BC mod folders. If you don't find the missing files in the Oblivion game then you can put the ones from the BC mod into the appropriate folder in the game. However, if the missing files have gone to the wrong place in the game then it is best to find themas they may cause problems if left wherever they are. Webejamen
Okay, I have these dds for Chorrol:roof01roof01_nroofedging01roofedging01_nAnything I'm missing?
BossDweebe
I have no idea what dds files that mod uses as I do not have BC,but I would guess that, judging by the small number of files you have listed that they may be what you are missing. I see nothing thatwould seem to be part of a trap door, but it is possible that the edging around the trap doors use the roof edging texture. If you have opened another copy of the mod, and the files you have listedare not in the corresponding Oblivion folder, then those would bethe files that went missing - or were not installed the first time. What I am having you do is perhaps the long way around, but is meant teach yousomething of how mods are structured, and help in the future. The quick way to resolve this at this point if BC has a whole lot of dds files is to just drag and drop the whole texture folder from the mod into the corresponding Oblivion folder. You will be prompted to overwrite - say OK.
