Firstly, is there a way to modify a weapon's base damage, without changing all the other uses of that weapon?

Secondly, is there a way to add new "repair hammer" items? Like, having multiple types of repair hammers that restore different amounts, or for specific items? Like a "New Hilt" item that can only repair swords?

Appreciate any help from anyone! Thanks!

Not sure what you mean by the first one. All weapons with the same ID have the same base damage and attributes, regardless of who is holding that weapon. Weapons increase that damage based on the skill and the strength of the user. If you make the vanilla iron war axes have 100 base damage, all of the instances of that weapon will have 100 base damage. If you make a copy of that vanilla weapon (before making any change) and save it with a new name, then make that copy have 100 base damage, only instances of that copy will have 100 base damage.

Repair hammers are specially designed, hard coded items. You cannot make new ones. This is not to say that the idea is not possible in some form, but to say that it would have to be done another way, probably utilizing mostly OBSE scripting to get any of it done.

More accurately, I should have said:

Example:

If an unmodded dagger deals 10 base damage - is there a way to change the -base- damage, without having to enchant it, and without having to change the damage for all the rest of the daggers? If not, I have another way of doing this, just trying to find the most efficient way.

Also...

What ways do any of you know of to get a hostile NPC to follow a player? My goal with this is to script a weapon to "knock out" (without the use of the "Paralyze" spell effect hopefully) an NPC, and either "cast a spell" or add an item to their inventory that revives them and forces them to follow you. I'm trying to create an alternate means of beating enemies, and so decided to try my hand at a "Bounty Hunter" themed mod, for those who don't like the fact you have to run away or kill an NPC to "win" a fight.

Anyways, any feedback or suggestions?
