-=FoW=- Greenteeth
I'm playing a Argonian (I know beast races suck...) character with the Steed sign and a speed of 90 at 3rd level, and want to know the stats for hand to hand, seeing as its my focus. I've found stats for other weapons, but need them for hands. My second question is, if you take a sign that fortifies a stat, can you get that stat higher than 100 by leveling alone? Ex. My character took the Steed sign, giving him Constant Effect fortify Speed 25pts. Can he raise his natural speed to 100 by leveling and have his star sign make it 125? or does he have to get magic items to get it above 100? NinjaSalad
By stats, do you mean like damage (10-50) or whatever? if so the amount of damage you do with your fists (once the opponent is knocked out) is reletive to the level of the hand to hand skill, the higher the skill the more damage. As for maxing out your speed, it will only go to 100 even if you have a 25 point boost, I am not 100% on this but I think this is the case. Ex. Hand to Hand 30, Speed 30 = 5-10 pointsetc. Another question I have is whether a spear or halberd's reach ever lets you hit opponents before they can hit you? Abramul
Yes it does. I've gotten a Golden Saint with an Ebony Longsword down to 0 strength, thus immobilizing it, and whacked it with a spear 'til it died. It couldn't reach me, though! Dilvish
Aragon's Morrowind Page has a good section on how the game calculates hand to hand damage. It's in his his Monk Strategy Guide. Here's the link. http://www.xs4all.nl/~dleijen/morrowind.html

-=FoW=- Greenteeth
I have one more question. It says in the manual, and makes sense to me that Strength affects melee damage, but does it only do so for weapons that are strength skills (i.e. longsword, blunt weapon, axe)? Ex. With my spear (endurance) is it endurance that affects my damage? Same with my hand to hand (speed), is it speed that affects my damage?
