Mazuffxi
I installed the Animated Window Lightning mod just yesterday. To my pleasent surprise, it worked quite nicely. However, at some point between yesterday and today, it has stopped working and now all my windows (at night) are replaced with red and purple windows. I can not for the life of me recall making ANY changes to my mods or data files since then, but I can't say for certain that I have not. I've tried uninstalling it, but I'm extremely, extremely. It's not as simple as deactivating the .esp either. I have to remove all the meshes and textures from the installation, but there are so many! I haven't touched it since I don't know where to begin. I read that I can uninstall it by removing the OMOD using OBMM, but I see no option for it. I tried deleting the OMOD, but it didn't work. I'm beginning to assume all my meshes are gone for windows at night somehow. It's completely distracting and ruining my game. I need help properly installing the Animated Window Lightning, or properly uninstalling it. Please! Any assistance is greatly welcome. I'll do whatever I can to give more information if it helps solve my problem. Help please!
Mazuffxi
I uninstalled Oblivion and then reinstalled it...the purple/red windows remained. I'm thinking that I will next have to uninstall Oblivion once more and just completely delete my data folder after backing my sava data and mods up, then come back in and reinstall everything...Is there anyone who knows why this is happening? BossDweebe
Deactivating the OMOD should do just that.If it changes colour from blue to red (?) it should be deactivated. If the mod is green it has not activated properly. Try clicking the activate button again. You should not try to delete the OMOD before deactivating it. You will find the OMOD in your Oblivion/obmm/mods folder.I notice there is also a - corrupt - folder it may move it to. You speak of esp and all those files. This sound like a manual install. You do not use the esp with an OMOD. If you have then deactivate the esp,and I would also look at deleting the files and just using the OMOD.I believe the OMOD should contain all the relevant files. If you need to remove the extra manual installed files then just extract another copysomewhere and use it as a guide to find what you need to delete. It isn't really that difficult, but with some mods make take a bit of time.
bben46
If you are using the OMOD, then deactivating it actually removes the mod and all parts from your data folder completely. Check to see if you installed BOTH the esp version and the OMOD version. Check the thread on that mod - someone else may have seen the same problem and a solution may be posted.http://thenexusforums.com/index.php?showtopic=73651
