khajiithasuwus
so i've been nifbashing some meshes together to try to make a version of the children of the cathedral robe in fallout 4, but there are some places on the meshes that i just can't fix. additionally, i have no idea how i would even start to make textures for these meshes. is it possible i could get some help? this is my very first fallout 4 mod btw. P.S: the .7z file of all 4 meshes is too big to upload here, sorry
RoNin1971
A robe? Sounds like clothing, can't really help you there. I've done countless statics but have yet to dive into clothing. What software do you have / use? You'll need quite a few.To get to the nif & dds files - ba2 extractorTo view & manipulate NIFs - Nifskope,To edit&export meshes (NIF) - 3D Studio 2013 (& add the nif exporter plugin, that comes with CK), <- your only option for creating collisions!for textures- GIMP (or photoshop or similar with dds exporter), <- GIMP will let you export DDS files just like FO4 likes 'm.for materials - material editor for clothing - OutfitStudioYou might wanna check on things like CBBE If you don't have 3DS you can use blender & the PyNifly import/export plugin, but you won't be able to create collisions. (lots of people just copy it from something similar or even use multiple) To actually create a mesh & textures you can use whatever suits you. There are many, many ways & programs to do so. For learning you should just google each subject you encounter. There is a ton of good (& bad!) info out there. Both written and video. (before you ask, I can't recommend anything. Been to long)

RoNin1971
You should put your question outside that which you quote. For clarity and stuff. I only just noticed you actually where asking something. To answer:A collision is pretty much what it says. An (invisible) object with which you "collide". It determines where a wall is, or water, or the ground you walk on. It defines the material and thereby the sound. (metal, concrete, water, etc.)Without it you would fall through the world and be unable to 'touch' anything. (or shoot it, as they are used for calculating hits too). What you see is just that. A picture, or hologram if you will. Its the invisible collisions that give it a 'physical body'. (for the game physics to work with)
