Adding Headlamp - Light is in the wrong spot

Real quick and dirty, I am trying to turn a cosmetic headlamp into a functional one.

I added the t45 power armor headlamp node to a helmets nif that had a cosmetic light, and positioned the node on the helmet. I made sure to enable the object pipboy power armor light overhead on the object itself too.

 

In game, the nif reflects the changes - I can see the light in the mesh - and turning on the light enables a t45 light instead of the green pip-boy light, but the light location is still on the characters wrist as if it were a pip-boy light.

I don't understand why this is at all. Anyone have any ideas?
