ctan800
http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=23299 That is the mod that I installed, and hopefully wanted to try out. The last step was to take the Save 4496 file, and put it into the My Documents/My Games/Oblivion/Saves directory so I can load it from the menu inside the game. But I couldn't find it on the list. I also tried to rename it to Save 142 ... .... ... (that would make it my latest save) and then restarting the game. Then I tried to copy and paste the entire file name of Save 141 .... .... .... as the name of my new save file, and then replace the old one with the one provided by the mod. But instead, the latest saved game, 141, just disappeared from the loading list in the game. This doesn't make any sense at all :/, I know the mods are working because the graphics packs that I installed individually appear on the character creation menu. But I can't find the saved game on the loading list.
Pineapplerum
Exactly what folder are you trying to put this saved game in? You have to go to Computer/Administrators (yours) documents/My Games/Oblivion/saves (I'm pretty sure that's the order-I'm not on my Gaming computer right now)and put it in the saves folder. Give it a lower number if the higher one doesn't work. Like try to save it as Save 1.I don't know if that helps much. Sorry you're having such a bummer trying to figure it out. I get very frustrated trying to install some mods also.

The save file has to include the .ess extension In other words name it "whateveryouwant.ess" in the ...\documents\mygames\oblivion\saves directory
