fitzxvii
Hey everyone. I've never requested a mod before, and I'm really only requesting because I'm too busy with work and college to learn to use a modelling program to do it myself. Basically, I am planning on playing a Heisenberg character (Walter White from Breaking Bad), and I just don't think it'd be complete without a pork pie hat. If you don't know exactly what that is, it's this: http://images.wikia.com/breakingbad/images/b/b8/Walt_Heisenberg.jpg I'm a bit of a hat purist, and Heisenberg definitely doesn't wear a fedora. He wears a pork pie, like Oppenheimer (and Tom Waits, but that's not nearly as relevant to the Fallout universe). So, anyone interested? I would imagine the black fedora used in-game should be a nice starting point.
devinpatterson
I'll take a look at it.

wattoburger
My character looks very similar to Walter at the end of the final season (with the beard)...which is odd as it was completely unintentional.Would be nice to have the mod include some clothes similar to the ones he has been known to wear too. Am I right?
fitzxvii
Actually, I had intended to just wear some pre-war clothes, since they pretty much fit what he would wear. A black windbreaker wouldn't go amiss, but I didn't think it essential to the character. I was looking at some other options, and Daniel's hat from Honest Hearts is almost a fit. It just has too large a brim and it has a red band as opposed to a black one. Still, could be worth some investigation. I am familiar enough with the mod engine to give it some stats of its own, such as +5 to Speech or something, I just can't model the thing. If this isn't done by the time my current school term ends, I might take a crack at learning how to do it myself, and from there I could try my hand at the clothes. Don't sweat it, if I don't get it done before I head out to work, I'll grab it on teh weekend.
devinpatterson
OK here it is. Here is a pic; http://i1066.photobucket.com/albums/u404/devinlpatterson/FONV%20Mods-works%20in%20progress/porkPieHat_zps919b7aea.jpg Just unrar both files (porkPieHat.esp porkPieHat.bsa) into your data directory and select the esp in your launcher of choice. A script will automatically add it to your inventory as well as various hat related form lists (like repair). Somethings you should know about daniels hat, and by extension this hat. It doesn't have a EGM file, so if you have some really funky head it may clip. It doesn't have it's own formlists so I used the cowoboy one. It can't be made any shorter without clipping (unless yuor pc is a flathead or other mutant).
fitzxvii
Very excellent, I'll try it out when I get home. Thanks for your help! Edited October 31, 2013 by fitzxvii
fitzxvii
I was wondering, however, if it would be too much trouble to make the brim smaller? If it is, then that's alright. I like the hat as-is, it was just a small request.
