Rockdude3
Hello fellow FO3 players. I have 2 very annoying and big problems. So let's go: 1. Games for Windows: Live In short, it doesn't work. In the main menu of the game, I click on the LIVE button... Wait... Nothing. It's highlighted and nothing else is but nothing happens. Also, the Home key in-game does nothing and I have no Achievements. It's definitely installed as I looked at my profile through the Standalone Client. There it says I have never played Fallout 3. Very annoying because I have friends on XBOX Live and I want to be able to talk to them  2. Game crashes (Not sure if its just game bugs) Every now and again, the game just goes kapoot. Short of never playing the game again, I've done everything I possibly can think of to fix this problem. Before I updated my graphics drivers it crashed much more often. After I updated sound drivers, graphic drivers, the .NET Framework and DirectX it went slightly faster and better. However this glitch is really annoying and I hope to go through one day where I can play without crashing *sigh* I've been reading up a bit and people say it's hardware issues. If so I guess I'll need a new computer. I just updated my graphics card to play GTA IV... EDIT: Some news on the crashesThis may be related... Everytime it crashes it goes into extremely low resolution (Smaller than 800x600) and goes into VERY low colour mode. When it comes up with the "fallout3.exe has encountered a problem" or whatever, I look at the error details and the offset is: 0048527d, if that means anything. Also when I click "Don't Send" (Or "Send") my monitor says "No input" and goes black. I then have to restart using the Power button. [END EDIT] My PC Specs:CPU: Intel Core2 Duo E6400 @ 2.13GHzGPU: NVidia GeForce 9500 GT (OC) @ 1GbRAM: 1 GbSound card (Also something I read about): Legacy Integrated (On an Intel D945GCL Motherboard)OS: Microsoft Windows XP Home EditionGame Settings: High Quality @ 1280x1024 Thanks in advance! spareichan
being a pc tech and i think others will agree, get more ram. 1GB of ram is ok for browsing the web... sorta but i find a min of 2GB for ANY gaming and recommended for general usage. given your system is intel this means you most likely have standard DDR2 prob 5300 or 6400 im not sure how old that chip is. This stuff is fairly cheap now adays. Given that you need to restart ... make sure your video card power cable(if it has one) is attached. as for the codes sadly i can't help you there im not a debugger so i have no clue.
