What do you want to see in Broken Steel?

So what do you want to see in the new DLC? I know it's too late for any of these "suggestions" to reach Bethesda, but no harm in speculating and some ideas might inspire some mods for when the DLC does come out.

What I want? There is a new perk called Puppies! that causes Dogmeat to reincarnate as a puppy outside vault 101 everytime he dies. I want his name to change from Dogmeat to Dogmeat the second, Dogmeat the third, etc. in order to document how many times you have allowed your canine companion to gruesomely die. :P

i have to agree; i would like to see some bug fixes like the Quicksave CTD that conflicts with some graphics drivers or the bug in game with the Gauss Rifle going through targets without dealing damage (unless that was fixed already). an addon that gets rid of the SecuRom option and maybe a better C++ system than the original one.

I would also love to see a full patch that deletes Microsoft's Games for Windows Live system. I hate that thing so much I'm actually trying to find a work around to get the new content in Broken Steel then uninstall GFWL. its a useless addon, does nothing but cause frustration and is a really dumb way of giving out content. they should've stuck with just making DLC's from the site and downloading them just like Oblivion did, not this Microsloth piece of junk :wallbash:

Better Power Armor. Seriously.

It seems that right when you get Brotherhood Power Armor, it's useless (sp?) as soon as you get the Enclave Power Armor.

Edit: Or at least balance the different types of Power Armor out better.

Id like a chance to actually rise in the ranks of the BoS.

One of the things I really disliked about FO3 was the way all the factions kept you at arms length. In Oblivion, you were a member of the Blades, and could join many of the guilds, and end up in a position of respect and authority.

In FO3, you're a total outsider everywhere, even in Megaton the Sherriff is constantly reminding you that he doesn't trust you.

The only people who have the slightest gratitude or fellowship toward you seem to be a FEW of the people you directly helped, the three "admirers" you can get (Bittercup and either the guy in Paradise Falls or the dame in Megaton) and 3 Dog.

The rest treat you like **** before, during and after quests you do for them.

I'm just hoping that it'll include a fix for evil characters so that they don't cause a CTD when leveling past level 20...

That will most likely be fixed, seeing that it will now be possible to level past 20 legitly with the new DLC

I'm hoping to see some actual after effects from completing the main quest, for both good and evil. And I'm hoping that it wont be half assed either. Being part of some factions would be nice. Oblivions factions were much nicer. It's sad to see Fallout 3 get such poor treatment in that area

If anything I would like more control over my followers. Like actual commands instead of "stay here" or "follow me". But with everything needed to be said through actually talking to them, I don't see that happening anytime soon, even for mods (unless I'm mistaken?)

So is this next DLC the last we'll see? Or will there be something bigger in store later down the road? If anyone knows

Edit: I didn't actually know that "Puppies!" was a real perk. I just read about it and laughed

A good plot, memorable characters, multiple ways to solve problems that don't necessarily involve combat, more role-playing elements and... oh, who am I kidding. It's Bethesda we're talking about. The fans do all the work for them.
