Is anyone else having a serious crashing problem with new patch out today? I have never had so many crashes during game play until this patch released. Is anyone else experiencing this issue or did, and knows how to fix it?

:thanks:

Well I had done what someone had suggested on another forum, which was to disable all mods then save then re-enable them, and it ruined my game :( I do not suggest this one bit, but I found what mod was causing it. I will be posting in that mods comment section.

No, I don't have that particular mod installed, but I do have bunch of others. I haven't had the chance yet to go through and disable one by one to see which might be causing the problem, but to tell you the truth, I am hesitant to do much of anything for fear of ruining my game. I had thought about disabling, saving and re-enabling like you did but after reading what you said i am glad I didn't! I'm sorry to hear about what happened to your game. If that had happened to me I would have probably thrown my pc out the window!

I didn't even mean to download the update in the first place- I have GFWL to thank for that!

My game was running fine an hour before i installed the patch. I Had to restart my game due to it bugging out and it prompted me to install the new patch. Now i can't even launch the game. It crashes on loading the menu and i haven't installed any mods in weeks.

It was running just fine until the patch.

I'm curious like overload1977! Where exist this 1.5? Link, please?

The latest patch on Bethesda Official site is 1.4.0.6 --> Bethesda Updates

If you got this 1.5 from non official maybe it breaks more than it solve, although with irony official patches ain't flawless neither ;)

Personally I don't download and install things without knowing at least something about the guys behind it.

I've had serious crashing when trying to zone into different areas. I've narrowed down the problem to a few mods so far (two housing mods and Kikai's Equipment mod). The rest of my installed mods are just outfits and cosmetic (hi-rez textures, etc). Hopefully I won't have to start disabling those too!

When the crashes started happening, I re-installed Fallout 3 and played a little bit with no mods running; no crashes. Then enabled mods one by one until I found the ones I had to keep disabled.

I'm sure glad I backed up my saves before patching! The patch was downloaded through GFWL.

I to am having crashes after the 1.5 patch install.. and made a post, not even seeing this one.. Duh on my part. :P .. I wanna say its not the 1.5 patch cause it didnt start till hours and hours later and its not random crashing, but specific things like saving.. So, who knows.

And it was dled/installed off GFWL.. so im pretty sure its official.. to say the least
