Is fine in the darker places with no sunlight, like inside but if I go to places with light or outside the whole places is lit like bringht as spotlight on one side and dark on other. default settings in "Display". Mind you I have not played in ages so cant really remember if this sort of behaviour is normal for fallout. Its just thats its getting to me, when anything light coloured objects clothing NPCs whatever, "glow" if facing the light. Its not a mod as its the same in "vanilla" anyone got ideas
Leopardion5
I'd suggest messing with the brightness scale but that probably wont solve the problem completely. On the other hand, and you might not like this suggestion too much, if you disable HDR completely then I think that glowing goes away, but I might be mistaken. lordinquisitor
I have noticied something now, I have taken 3 screen shots with darkest setting, default and brightest setting. These show up in game with brightest actually knocking the dark/bright difference back the most. But all the 3 screen shots are the same as through no change happened at all. I think whatever is messingwith the screenshot is probably messing with the glare problem. Even on the darkest setting if I am facing south the glare is very bright, It shows up on anything that is light coloured, a metro map, a lightish bit of garbage on the ground, npc clothing. While north is always darkest even on brigh settings. I am using XP and ATI Radeon HD 3800 512mbb and running at 1280x1024x60hz if that makes any difference. hoping someone will know whats going on.
