Mods are installed and enabled, but still not working

I have been putting mods into Skyrim SE, with Alternate Start being one of those mods. But once I started a new save file, it had acted as if I didn't have the mod enabled. I kept on launching the game between mods and I didn't have any issues, the issues only arose when I accidently went over the plugin limit. I disabled most of the mods I had installed when the notification started appearing, along with some mods I felt I didn't really need or want, until it said that I was no longer over the limit.

 

I then checked LOOT to see if there were going to be any conflicts, which there weren't, but it said that the plugins for "Alternate Start - Live Another Life" and "Palaces Castles Enhanced" were not enabled. When I checked Vortex, it shows that both mods and all of their associated plugins are enabled. But, of course, when I launched the game it had acted as if I didn't have Alternate Start enabled/installed. I don't know if it's the same for PCE, but I assumed it'll be the same issue

 

Does anyone know how to fix this? thanks in advance

 

Update: I don't know how, but I think it's working now
