They're not 100% accurate, and they don't get into the really juicy guts of The Elder Scrolls, but we talked about these videos on both the Beth forums and the TESLore reddit recently, and we found them to be appropriate for the task. I would certainly support the idea of this being stickied, as many answers can be found in the videos.

Well, he pretty much avoids dealing with any of the weird metaphysics of the universe. Mr_Flippers, reddit's resident Khajiit expert has some problems with the Khajiit one... I know i picked some problems with the one about the Daedra, but this was... 3 or 4 weeks ago, i'll have to go back through them to find specifics. This post may change.

Thanks and by the way, in the next TES installment, I hope Bethseda includes a set of book called Complete History of Tamriel by grand historian Shoddius Castus. aka the OP of the Elderscroll Videos

Is he a Member here on the Nexus Forum and has Bethesda Acknowledged his work or complimented him

Im at Chapter 12 now about the Bretons where i just learned an Interesting Fact, they are a Mixture of Elves and Humans, most commonly Ancestors of the Ayledes.

In Chapter 16 with the Kahjit, theres a part where it says they almost look like Elves, but why in the character Creation of TES Games is there no Option for it. :ermm:

I must say through all the Videos, Molag Bal is the most influential Evil Deadric Prince of Tamriel. :ninja:

How Old can each Race live, because on the last video, the High Elves can live up to a Thousand Years.

UESP is a much more accurate and consistent place to find out on the Lore. There are hundreds of articles with sources directly from things Bethesda released. The search bar will let you find anything you need, so it is much easier to view the information. UESP is pretty much the standard when it comes to Elder Scrolls Lore and MUCH better than the videos which seem very corny IMHO.

I've been interested in the Lore for quite a while. Most of the stuff I know comes from UESP or from playing Daggerfall as a child. Back in the day, playing Daggerfall was pretty much everything you needed to know all the Lore.

True blood Aldmer and Altmer can generally live for about 1000 years, assuming nothing goes wrong. Dunmer come in second, though the extent is diminished, probably about 800 (Barenziah was 'old' at almost 500, and Neloth in Skyrim is about 400-500). We have no real basis on the Bosmer or the Orsimer, though we know some participants of the Wild Hunts can outlive even the Altmer. Bretons probably have the longest lifespan, being part Mer (likely, the Dreinni were the Meri ancestors of the Bretons) and the Nords and Imperials both seem to have similar lifespans to real world humans. I'm no expert on either Argonians or Khajiit, so i can't say anything about them, though Kirkbride does say we will be getting lots of Argonian love in TES:O.

Magic can influence this, mind you. Divayth Fyr was said to be 4000 years old, and there may be older mages in Summerset. There are, of course, some problems with that figure, since he wasn't alive when the Dwemer were around, but they dissapeared not even 3000 years before Morrowind...

I'd say that the Lore tends to be an expansive experience. These videos are a good place to start, at which point you can move onto the UESP and do your own research. Eventually, however, you should move to the Imperial Library and look at the source material.

It's kind of like an education. You start with an Intro (these videos) then examine other peoples opinions (the UESP) before being qualified to form your own (hitting up the Imperial Library).
