Clean Slate - how to rid the world of all NPCs and structures

Hi, I am not too experiencedm in modding yet, but know the basics pretty well. Now I feel like I want to do something completely out of the box - basically a whole new game. The idea is that Population shall be very sparse - only a few small settlements - no supernatural monsters or any other such stuff - basically I want the mod feel like the real middle ages.

For that I would like to remove all the pre-existing NPCs as well as cities, buildings and ruins, everything except for wildlife. So far, I haven't been able to find a way to do this efficiently. Is there a quick way to do this? Or perhaps, has someone done this already and can he or she share this clean file here?

Thanks for your help!

...update: I managed to delete all relevant objects in the object window, and though most of them seem to have disappeared, large structures, like cities and houses remain visible from a distance - once I get closer, part by part they disappear. It seems they have somhow remained stored in the far view reduced detail object library - if anything like this exists. Any idea where I can fix this? Thanks.

yes, in principle,

already what you are viewing the LODs.

For the start, you can turn them off in "game options" in the "loader window".

Later expect to unpack the BSA and to delete them there. Meshes and Textures.

then you have to create your own LODs

Hallo Harvald, thanks for the advice! I will try that out, although, I am a little doubtful it will work, since yesterday I discovered in CS the option of "update LOD" under "World", but every time I try the update, CS crashes, regardless whether I select a single cell or all of them. Might be a Win 7 x64 issue, so I'm probably stuck :(
