Veinmire Posted September 6, 2022 Share Posted September 6, 2022 No matter what my load order or set-up, fullscreen or borderless, I've always had an issue where the pause menu in Skyrim becomes impossible to cancel out of when the game has been minimised while it's open. When it's just paused, it's just a nuisance as simply creating an unnecessary save closes the pause menu and sends things back to normal anyway, but when the MCM is open that stops being possible and the game must be restarted (a considerable issue when with a load order of over 200 plugins). I'm aware that opening the Steam Overlay or console prevents this by the way, I just always forget. I'm not extremely desperate to fix this, I merely wonder. Thanks for reading. Gorsha Posted September 7, 2022 Share Posted September 7, 2022 I don't have that issue, and I don't think it is caused by a load order. But what you can try; pause the game by hitting " ~ " to bring up the console, and then use Alt-Tab. The Tab button can end the pause, even with Alt pressed.
