The new song is great. Thanks for the preview.

Wow...the version 1 release still sounds like it will be far and away better than many of the other recently released companion mods. I have tried them all and most have already met the uninstall button.

Tell Sofia I got a bottle of spice wine on ice waiting for her on June 1.

Well Sofia is very unique and will offer an entirely different experience to Arissa and some fierce competition to all other followers as well. Sofia will be an absolute riot lol. She will get drunk, sing songs, insult nearby people, say totally inappropriate and hilarious remarks and much more. Also keep an eye out for when I finish her quests and random encounters and I mean random in every sense of the word haha.

Also Sofia is quest and location aware which I haven't really mentioned much about or posted any lines for so there is a lot I haven't given away despite the number of videos I posted. Sofia has over double the amount of dialogue of Arissa and the number of lines is rapidly rising so expect plenty of dialogue. The first release is very much just a teaser and a compromise for those who have waited patiently for a very long time.

Update: I have done some dialogue for giving Sofia gifts now but she will be brutally honest about what she thinks of it. She will also recognise what you gave her in many cases.

I tried Arissa and while i liked a lot about her, like the Regard system, I found the primary thing -her dialogue- to be more limited than I would have imagined. That's why I've been waiting for a follower like Sofia for awhile now. Now we just one that gives the player the freedom to marry. Seems like most of the recent crop of VA followers have written that option off.

Thanks, I'm sure Christine will be happy to here that :) She is very talented.

Well I think Sofia is the most entertaining and different at least, especially if you have a good sense of humour.

Yes the regard system for Arissa is nice but I will probably give Sofia more of a mood based system as it would fit her better and make it so that she moulds to fit the player and not the other way round. You can bring out the worst in her or try and convince her to follow her conscience and things such as being a werewolf mean you are more powerful which she finds a good thing. I haven't fully implemented all that yet but that's the plan.

As much as I would support marriage for Sofia it is just not possible without totally wrecking her personality and half her lines. Many jokes revolve around her awkward relationship with the player and the fact she is single. Also she isn't exactly the romantic type and you can forget her becoming some kind of house wife lol.

Yeah, that's one of the bad things about marriage in Skyrim: it's too... 1950's. Ostensibly the only purpose of a wife in Skyrim is child-rearer and meal-maker, unless you go far off-campus for more.. adult.. fare. That being said, I'd always imagined the Dragonborne as looking for more of a Valyria [sp?] type of mate. A romantic partner who wants a life-bound partner, not a house wench.

LOL well, ES is not renowned for it's good characters and meaningful interactions with them (as well as their interactions with the world), it's why we are excited for this mod so much. After their gigantc failure of an MMO, I do hope the next ES does focus more on quality over quantity and that including characters and companions as well. Maybe not Mass Effect or Dragon Age level, but they certainly can do better then now. They proved it with Dawnguard, even though it could have been better. As far as marriage goes though, it would be nice to have some sort of relationship status that would provide passive combat bonuses. Like increase mana/hp regen when she is nearby or a debuff to enemies when she is taking damage. It just gives more meaning to interacting with her beyond simply going through content. I don't know how difficult it would be to implement though.

OMG! why isn't Christine singing professionally? Well on one hand I'm glad she not...just yet, then we wouldn't have Sofia. On the other hand if she ever does I'd back her 100% Her voice is awesome. And as far a marriage goes, I've been following your mod almost since day one and the personality you and Christine have given her.... through all the videos and discussion, I just can't envision her any other way and to marry her now after all that would be like...well I don't know, but it wouldn't seem right. Besides there are plenty of other followers out there to marry if that's your thing. for me she seems like a best bud who will watch your back and bust your cahones at the same time lol.

The thing is even Serana rejects marriage. Marriage in Skyrim is only possible because most of the NPCs have no depth to them whatsoever and so with Serana this would be more difficult. Hello, I have an amulet, right let's get married, now cook me dinner my love. That pretty much sums up marriage in Skyrim so I have no idea why people even bother with it. You marry a warrior and they end up subservient to you and calling you my love all the time and their dialogue gets even more boring and simplified. Trust me if I did the same with Sofia you would hate it, I would have to dilute her dialogue big time. That doesn't mean there won't be a social system in place though where you can even try chatting her up.

She kind of does a bit of everything really when it comes to audio and media related stuff, even things such as music composition so I don't think it's her main focus. There's a reason why the audio quality is so good on her recordings. That is quite the compliment though haha.

I think most do it for the extra gold you get from the supposed store they say they want to open when your gone, that's what I did my first time playing. Only thing is you have to spend a lot of time away to make it worth while.
