Perfect for him would be going to his town and killing all darkspawn there. Boss of the quest would be Genlock Master Ranger with blighted animals under its personal command. After liberation Loghain's approves 20 points, if he's in company. If Loghain isn't recruited, then Gwaren gets liberated, because it's right thing to do.
