Water shader bugging out for me.

Kitty,

If that exe is what I think it is, then why would securom even come into the picture? if there are securom related .dlls or whatever in the Fallout 3/ folder, it'd make sense (assuming maybe the engine just loves to load any .dll it comes across in FO3's install directory). If not, then I have my doubts as to whether securom stuff would even be put into memory.

If steam's overlay hooking into the graphical rendering thread/memory addresses could be a problem, I assume simply turning off the overlay through steam would simply scratch that out of the equation (though perhaps it goes deeper than that)? On the other hand, I could see your reasoning for wanting to make sure absolutely nothing 'steam'-y could be affecting the game.

P.S: Your posts are great, informative reads, but they always leave me scratching my head in a 'How the heck can Bethesda use a game engine that does these kind of things and not notice it?!!' kind of way. :D

I am limited by the rules here as to what I can or can not post. some data /information can be used ....improperly. That being said, you have that itch scratched. It is very hard not to post things I know about in a dumb'ed down way, to beat around the bush is an art, but, some times, we can do things to get a result with out the others knowing what we expect that result to be.

Is a very Nasty thing ,and NO, you can not remove it. It requires their own software to remove it, it IS a root kit. It IS DRM, and IT does damage hardware too.

It will disable any DVD / cd rom player from working the moment if gets triggered and from that point on, any DVD or cd you place into the PC will no longer work correctly if at all.

No, it is not game related, IT is property management Embedded into an operating system. DRM is the worst thing ever used .

you can read it all from Google secur rom web site, they freely admit what is is and does. IF that is on this persons machine? there is no helping him or her until IT is removed. The test was designed to see if it is there, and it showed up. He / she can download the verification software to verify if it is active,

if so, and it's on the machine, there is two control soft wares fighting over 1 executable at the same time. and only one display driver and monitor. kinda throws a crimp into a gamers life style but good.

that should tide you over, most gamers need refresher courses in the old tech that still haunts us all. I forgot one day about securrom and it messed up all my stuff. OS too. went to lunch and it hit me, came home and fixed it all and my stuff suffered very little damage. But, I was about to wipe my OS again because the DVD rom failed to work. That was ruined too. that can not be repaired with software. The chip in it got turned off. cheap , get a new one and move on.

Star fource, and others too, can really make your day if you forget to remove it. it is a face palm day when you realize this was forgot ton. Just a Dumb girl .........but I learn very fast.

This describes whats there and how it interacts with surrounding items.

This is the core of the barrier that causes the fast travel crash out of the area.

All of this changes with Video drivers, and wrong data running. with the right data, you have the first shot.

The purpose of the remaining shots shows the depth you must go to see whats there.
