DanielDuncan
I added some custom content, "Better Cities ver5.4.1" specifically, I followed the instruction to the letter, installed with OMM and created OMOD and everything, followed the step by step instructions. So I begin playing and it is absolutely beautiful....except, all the new NPCs, aside from some crazy religious lunatic in the tunnel, nobody has any voices. It seems like it might be designed like that but every now and then they will actually say something so it confuses me. Is it supposed to be like that? If so, then it is alright, if not then, what can I do to fix it? I spent pretty much all of yesterday following all the instructions to get the game ready for custom content, My info:I got all the DLCs together, got all the patches, both official and unoficial and all installed and working properly, testing the game after each one is installed, game is updated to 1.2.0416, again with the official patches of course. (New to custom content for Oblivion but not new to custom content) I am only running Better Cities, ALL the official DLC, Oblivion Character Overhaul, Better Dungeons(installed BD but I have not yet actually been in a dungeon yet but the game plays with it installed) and Darnified UI. I am certain that all of them are the latest versions as well. I also did all this from a fresh install of the game(it has been years since I have played my copy of Oblivion, I wanted to come back but I have a memory like a steel trap and wanted to get some extra things to spice it up and fool my mind into thinking it is getting a new experience or I would instantly grow bored. I am running Win7 64bitGTX460 SEi5 (????)8 gig RAM (my PC is not exactly top of the line as far as PCs go on this very day today, but it still eats this game alive on ultra settings and with room to spare) If anyone can clue me in to what is the real deal with "Better Cities" is, I would greatly appreciate it, thanks in advance folks. Harvald
yes that might happen, using a Mod using foreign language, German, Italien per example. Don't know what mod it is but here is an discription how to fix http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/8035//? or try out this mod http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/28597/? and put ist at the end of your load order. Have fun Harvald
DanielDuncan
Thank you very much for your reply. However, I am not having problems with the vanilla voices, those are still intact, it is the NPCs that came with the better cities mod that are missing by and large, well really, all voices but that one guy in the tunnels, the religious fanatic, and I was just wondering those are supposed to be like that or were they supposed to have voices? I mean, i saw nothing in any documentation about voices being there or not being there. So I really just want to be sure of whether they are supposed to be absent or not, if for nothing else but my own peace of mind, how messed up would I feel if I played the game for a year, then suddenly discovered that all the voices were supposed to be there but I wasn't getting them only to find an easy fix, that would be really awkward right? Hmmm... I may do a total reinstall and only include the better cities just to see what the story is, I will wait and get more replies before I go and do that though as I am reasonably certain that I did the install properly in the first place. Thanks again Harvald
