BOSbootyXXX
This my first time posting here. I am well over the plugin limit and was changing small mods to be esl flagged. When I run loot I get the message " this plugin contains records that have form ids outside the valid range for an esl plugin" im trying to find a solution I am having no luck i removed the esl flag save and close xedit than reopened to try and look for compact form ids but i dont see that option. most of the results keep taking me to skyrim instead of fallout maybe the process is the same but still i am having no luck compacting form ids. which I assume is what i need to fix my problem Thanks for your time Edited September 18, 2022 by BOSbootyXXX

fraquar
xEdit will not show you the option for compacting forms for mods with an .ESL extension or if they have the .ESL flag. Just remember you don't change the extension from .ESP to .ESL. Reason I say that is you have some mods in that screenshot that were never released as .ESL's - but they have .ESL extensions.....Deathstroke Armor and Deadlier Deathclaws are two I looked up just to understand what you are doing here. https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/8530053-esl-vs-esp-flagged-as-esl/ Scroll down to VlitS comment at the bottom. Added: That doesn't mean you won't have some mods that were released with an .ESL extension by design. Ex. CanarySaveFileMonitor.ESL. That makes it a master so it loads as early as possible - but doesn't count as an plugin towards the 255 limit. fraquar
What you can do is just extract the mod and copy the original .ESP over into your mod folder and start again (or just reinstall it - your choice)No harm, no foul. Most things can be undone one way or another. Edited September 19, 2022 by fraquar
