Iapetus
And I mean odd.I try to start up Oblivion from the OBSE Launcher, with just Atmospheric Dark UI Loading Screens enabled, and I get this weird message about an error on the Oblivion load screen. Well, just take a look. Here is what I have active: And here is what the message looks like: Any idea what in Oblivion could be happening? Mind you, this is after I uninstalled, then reinstalled Oblivion. And yes, I do know how to uninstall correctly.
BossDweebe
You said with just the loading screen enabled. What is the second line referring too ? It' a bit blurred. Also, turn off the other stuff you have in the backgroundand run just the game. Have you tried with the mod disabled ?
Iapetus
Yes, I've tried it without that mod, and with nothing else running (aside from system processes). That was just the only time I took a picture of the error message. The second line in the list of mods is one of Wrye Bash's headings, which allow you to group mods according to their function or however you wish to group them. It's supposed to say 'essential'. BossDweebe
Is the OBSE version up to date ?You've pulled out the other files that came with Dark UI as well as disable ? Those arcane windows messages :wallbash: - I don't have a clue.
Qwaxalot
I'd be inclined to test my computer's memory: Memtest86 Qwaxalot
Iapetus
Update! After following the directions in Bben's Oblivion clean uninstall/reinstall guide, I was finally able to get Oblivion up and running again. After testing individual mods one by one, the only ones that still cause those messages to pop up are RSKvatch Aftermath and The Necromancer, both by Giskard. His Origin of the Mages Guild and Fighter's Guild Contracts both still work, so I do not know what's up with that... oh well, I can do without.
