bben46
OBSE should not affect the vanilla game at all. When you remove mods, unless you are using OMODs, It dosn't remove anything except the esp. All of the meshes, textures and other files are still there. OMODS remove everything relating to a mod from the data folder when they are disabled. To get rid of them you have to go through and manually remove each one. that could take a while. Instead, rename your data folder to something else - like oldata. then make a new data folder and COPY - do not move - the following files into it from the oldata folder Music (folder)Shaders (folder)Video (folder)Credits (text) Oblivion - Meshes.bsaOblivion - Misc.bsaOblivion - Sounds.bsaOblivion - Textures - Compressed.bsaOblivion - Voices1.bsaOblivion - voices2.bsaOblivion.esm You may have some left overs in the music and video folders, but they should not cause what you are seeing. Then reinstall OBSE and test with a new game, then add OBMM and test again. If you use Wrye Bash, add it and test again. Then, add your mods just a few at a time - if you can, use the OMOD format as it is so much easier to remove mods with it. Yes, it's going to take a lot of time, but not as much as manually removing the meshes and textures for over a hundred mods.
