Fallout new Vegas tactics: Non-Melee Weapons

What's the best weapon u recommend for point blank, close, mid and long range?

 

Here's my wager, saved my butt a helluva times:

PB: Flamer Pistol

CR/DQB: Any automatic shotgun, preferably Saiga 12 or USAS 12 (these reload fast), a LMG also serves very good, as well as any Gatling laser-like weapon, GMG, Mercy and the like.

MR: Gatling laser-like weapon, scoped LMG and scoped assault rifles.

LR: A sniper crossbow, an AM Rifle (preferably a .50 BMG weapon that can shoot explosive ammo.
