mooncactus
Hey all, I recently got Morrowind (game of the year edition) on my PC and have been having a lot of fun with it, even learnt how to install some mods today. I'm just having issues with the Morrowind Comes Alive mod at present. I followed the instructions and downloaded 7.0, then the patch, to bring it up to 7.1. I then disabled all the plugins that came with it (didn't think I would need them since I don't have their corresponding mods) except for the MCA one. I started the game, everything seemed ok until I loaded my save- I got errors left right and center for missing meshes, textures, you name it. Around 8 of them. The game loaded though, and seemed ok. Then I went to take the silt strider to Balmora and got LOADS of errors as the area was loading. The same kinds of errors, but there were so many that naturally I thought 'f*** this' and stopped running executable. Loads of stuff would have been missing anyway, had I got through all those errors and ran the game. So then I quit and re-enabled the plugins I disabled that come with MCA, just to try and see if it would work. That seemed to only make things worse as I couldnt even load a save, I started the game and immediately got errors telling me a couple of master files were missing. Obviously the game just closed and I couldn't even play it. I've disabled MCA now and the game is fine, but I really wanted that mod :( can someone help? I am new to this so I'm probably doing something wrong. Thanks!
MorielAtta
I'd bet $5 that you don't have Westly's Master Head Pack installed since I recently had the same problem: lot's of load errors and missing meshes and textures. MCA requires that Westly's Master Head Pack be installed because the meshes it provides are used by MCA. (The actual ESP file from the Head Pack is optional, though.)
