theatm
So I don't have a digital copy of Oblivion, just the regular edition via a disk. Is it possible for me to still add mods to Oblivion? if so how? I saw in one mod I tried to add that I had to export the files to the data folder, I did and nothing happened. Note: The data folder I exported them to was on my C: Drive in the Oblivion folder from installing the disk. Thanks in advance.
severr
Your copy supports mods. For modding oblivion safely you need certain tools like obmm and wrye bash. Download and install them. Then download mods from nexus or any mod sites and read the included readme files thoroughly to know how to install each mod. Some mods can be installed only if you have one of the above mentioned tools. But most can also be installed manually i.e copying into the data folder yourself, but this is highly discouraged since it can create many headaches in the long run.
