Dilvish
I just ordered a used copy of this game. It looks like interesting change from more modern RPGs. If anyone has played, I would be interested in your opinions. A few tips would be okay but no spoilers please.
Riddleofsteel
I love this game, I still have my old copy. I can't recommend it enough, but be aware that there's a lot of dialog/reading. I run it in Vista 64 but for some reason it always crashes when I exit. Not sure why.
Dilvish
Another glowing recommendation! I've heard there's lots of reading and subplots. Some say it has the best story of any CRPG. Planescape: Torment was released for Windows 95/98. I'm running Win. XP and read that XP should run it fine.I bought someone's well-preserved (I hope) copy from a used book store. It still cost more than Fallout 3 did new.
Astorius
One of my CRPG favorites next to the first two Fallouts and the Baldur's Gate series.
iiloganxii
BTW, there is a mod that allow you to play it in higher resolution, like baldurs' gate 2.You might want to give it a try. I did try it myself, but it didnt work for me. Some people say it works for them. good luck if you try it out. http://forums.gibberlings3.net/index.php?showtopic=17285
Dilvish
Thanks. I'll try it. I'm still waiting for my game to arrive in the mail. I need to read up on doing a full install and available patches and mods. Are there any mod sites in addition to gibberlings3 that you would recommend? Rokoka
Wait Planet side has a new ONE? It was shut down wasn't it? If not I know what am getting soon. am not sure if you guys mean the FPS MMO or if this is a New MMO all together.
Dilvish
Not Planetside. It's Planescape. Planescape: Torment is a single-player game. It's a few years older than PlanetSide.
cgaWolf
It's like Baldur's Gate with brains & a sense of humor. If you can deal with the outdated graphics (and it's really not that bad), it's a very entertaining game in a nonstandard setting. Very much worth playing.
